Why we exist
Most technology advice comes from someone selling technology.
AI, data science, and quantum technology now shape consequential decisions in government, business, and research. Yet most of the advice available to decision-makers comes from vendors, resellers, or consultancies with products to place. Maple Quanta was founded to be the other voice in the room: independent, scientifically grounded, and accountable only to the client.
Our mission is to help governments, businesses, and organizations make confident decisions in AI, data science, and quantum technology through independent expertise, rigorous analysis, and practical governance.
The company focuses on clear analysis, disciplined implementation, and governance that fits real operating environments — helping teams understand tradeoffs, make consistent decisions, and move from uncertainty to practical action.
Founders
Maple Quanta Inc. was co-founded by Zahra Aback and Dr. Qasem Exirifard. Together they combine scientific depth, advanced analytics, public-sector experience, actuarial expertise, and financial discipline — giving clients both a risk-aware business lens and deep technical judgment.
Dr. Qasem Exirifard
Co-Founder & CEO
Dr. Qasem Exirifard is a physicist, senior data scientist, and technology advisor working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, quantum technologies, and responsible technology governance. He leads Maple Quanta's strategic and technical direction, with a focus on rigorous analysis, model evaluation, AI readiness, governance, and emerging-technology risk.
His background combines doctoral-level scientific research, advanced analytics, public-sector data science, and practical experience translating complex technical questions into decision-ready advice for organizations. At Maple Quanta, he helps clients assess technology claims, understand risks, and adopt AI and data-driven systems with discipline, accountability, and scientific clarity.

Zahra Aback
Co-Founder & CFO
Zahra Aback is an actuarial and financial-risk professional with expertise in statistics, actuarial science, financial analysis, risk assessment, and governance. As Co-Founder and CFO of Maple Quanta, she brings a disciplined business and risk perspective to the firm's advisory work.
Her role strengthens Maple Quanta's ability to connect technical decisions with financial responsibility, operational risk, and organizational accountability. She contributes to the company's governance, financial strategy, and risk-aware approach to AI, data science, and emerging technology adoption.
